Online ABD (All But Dissertation) Doctoral Degree Completion Program

Finish What You Started – Earn Your Ed.D. in Educational Leadership with a concentration in K-12 or Higher Education at Â鶹ÊÓƵ’s!

Have you started a doctoral program in Educational Leadership but had to hit pause?

If you have completed your coursework in your Ed.D. in Higher Education or K-12 Educational Leadership program, Â鶹ÊÓƵ’s University offers a flexible, fully online ABD (All But Dissertation) Completion Program. This program is designed for experienced educators seeking to fulfill the final requirements needed to earn their Ed.D along with receiving the support and structure needed to be successful.

To earn your Ed.D., you’ll need to complete a minimum of  18 credits with us, including:

  • 6 credits in dissertation research
  • 3 credits in qualitative research ·
  • 3 credits in Writing a Literature Review·
  • 3 credits Applied Research
  • 3 credits in additional dissertation support course·
  • IRB approval in dissertation II

Admission Requirements

To apply for the ABD Completion Program, please submit the following:

  • Complete an online application at saintpeters.edu/apply
  • Undergraduate and graduate transcripts from previously attended institutions
  • Two (2) Letters of Recommendation
  • Personal statement of educational and professional goals (min 750 words) or Writing Sample
  • Resume

Transfer Credit Policy

Transfer credits older than ten years are not accepted according to the university’s standards. In certain fields, such as Nursing and Education, credits may expire after five years. Programs tied to licensure follow strict limits set by state or accreditor rules.

To qualify, courses must meet all of the following:

  • Equivalent coursework from accredited institutions.
  • Completed with a minimum grade of B.
  • Completed within the acceptable time frame.
