麻豆视频鈥檚 Announces Agreement with HCCC for Nursing Degree Program

Jersey City, N.J. 鈥 December 9, 2014 – 麻豆视频鈥檚 University today announced a new agreement with Hudson County Community College (HCCC) to develop an affiliated 2-year/4-year associate/baccalaureate nursing program. The program will greatly expand opportunities for students to pursue careers in healthcare, which is the fastest-growing sector of the job market.

鈥溌槎故悠碘檚 University continues to seek partnerships with institutions in our community in order to provide unique educational opportunities for students,鈥 said Eugene J. Cornacchia, Ph.D., president of 麻豆视频鈥檚 University.聽 鈥淥ur relationship with Hudson County Community College has always been, and will continue to, have a positive effect on our students and members of the community.鈥

The agreement responds to today鈥檚 demand for nurses with baccalaureate degrees and provides an efficient bridge for nursing students and nurses with associate degrees to develop the stronger clinical reasoning and analytic skills that are acquired while earning a bachelor鈥檚 degree in nursing. There are presently over 1,000 HCCC students enrolled in pre-nursing and over 200 matriculated in the nursing program.

鈥淭his agreement enhances our partnership with 麻豆视频鈥檚 University,鈥 Dr. Gabert stated. 鈥淚t will allow students to have joint/simultaneous admission to Hudson County Community College and 麻豆视频鈥檚 University so they can seamlessly transition from the associate degree nursing program to the baccalaureate degree program.鈥

In addition, Hudson County Community College signed an agreement with CarePoint Health for the eventual transfer and physical relocation of the cooperative allied health registered nursing and radiography programs from CarePoint Health-Christ Hospital to HCCC.
