Jersey City The Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ’s College Peahens (20-20, 10-4 MAAC) clinched their first MAAC Tournament bid since the 2003 season this afternoon after sweeping a doubleheader from the Rider University Broncs (7-32, 2-10). The Peahens won game one 3-1 and clinched the playoff berth with a 10-4 win in game two. The two wins coupled with two Marist losses clinch the postseason appearance. The Peahens still have a chance to win the regular season championship with a pair of wins over Iona next Saturday along with a Canisius split against Siena. The 2007 MAAC Championships will take place on May 10-12th at DeLuca Field in Stratford, CT.
