Jersey City — Andrew Conrad, Ph.D., will speak at Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ’s College on Thursday, February 15 at noon as part of the Distinguished Speakers in Science Lecture Series. Dr. Conrad is the Chief Scientific Officer and co-founder of LabCorp’s National Genetics Institute. The lecture will take place in the McIntyre Room in Dinneen Hall and is open to the public.

Dr. Conrad earned a bachelor’s degree in Neurobiology and a Ph.D. in Cell Biology from the University of California Los Angeles. He has served as the Responsible Head for the FDA Product License for an automated device for the detection of HIV-1, HIV-2 and HCV in plasma from large numbers of donors.
National Genetics Institute (NGI) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Laboratory Corporation of America Holdings (LabCorp). NGI provides advanced genetics testing services for blood screening, medical testing, and clinical research.
Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ’s College is the Jesuit College of New Jersey. Founded in 1872, Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ’s has an enrollment of approximately 3,000 students in undergraduate and graduate programs. The main campus is located in Jersey City. The College has a branch campus for adults in Englewood Cliffs, NJ and also offers courses at various corporate sites at the Jersey City waterfront and in South Amboy, NJ.
