Jersey City,NJ– The Â鶹ÊÓƵ’s College Intramural Sports Department co-ed entry advanced to the Final Four of the 25th annual American Collegiate Intramural Championships (ACIC) National Flag Football Tournament held at the University of New Orleans held during Christmas break. It was best finish ever for Â鶹ÊÓƵs. Â鶹ÊÓƵ’s was 4-1 in the National Tournament with wins over Georgia Southern, two teams from Western Kentucky, and Louisiana Monroe before losing to Central Florida in the semifinals, 22-8. UConn won the tournament which included more than 120 teams. Freshman Lou Proioetti (Hamilton,Ontario) was named to the All-American Team for Offense while Intramural Director Patty Gentile (West Orange,NJ), 1999 Â鶹ÊÓƵ’s grad, was named to the All-American Defensive Team. Â鶹ÊÓƵ’s was 13-2 on the season, which included victories at the New Jersey State Flag Football Tournament and the NIRSA Northeast Regional Tournament atCornell University.
