SAINT PETER’S COLLEGE ANNOUNCES GRADUATION DATE
AND HONORARY DEGREE RECIPIENTS
April 4, 2003— Jersey City, NJ-– Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµâ€™s College will conduct its 112th Commencement on Sunday, May 18 at the PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel, New Jersey. The 11 a.m. ceremony will salute a graduating class of more than 800 full-time, part-time, evening and graduate students.
The College will bestow Honorary Degrees upon 1956 graduate Reginald Stanton, Dr. George Borjas and Sr. Vivien Jennings.
Stanton, a retiring Superior Court of New Jersey Judge, will be the Commencement speaker. He is Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµâ€™s only Rhodes Scholar winner.
The College will also present an Honorary Degree to Dr. Borjas, the Robert W. Scriver Professor of Economics and Social Policy at the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University, and Jennings, Principal of Saint Dominic Academy in Jersey City.
Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ’s College is the Jesuit College of New Jersey. Founded in 1872, Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ’s has an enrollment of more than 3,000 students in undergraduate and graduate programs. The main campus is located in Jersey City and a branch campus, specializing in adult education, is located in Englewood Cliffs. Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ’s also offers classes in downtown Jersey City near the waterfront financial district.
