April 12, 2002– Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ’s College Wins New Jersey Extramural Basketball Tournament

Jersey City, NJ – The Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ’s College men’s extramural basketball team won the inaugural New Jersey State Extramural Basketball Tournament hosted at the Yanitelli Center on Sunday, April 7. 

Rutgers-Camden, Rutgers-Livingston and Stevens Tech also had teams in the tournament. Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµâ€™s Admissions Counselor Rich Brown was named Tournament Most Valuable Player. 
The tournament was hosted by the Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ’s College Intramural Sports Department, with American Youth Enterprise of Pleasantville, NJ serving as the tournament’s sponsor. 
Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµâ€™s also won the State Extramural Co-Rec Flag Football Tournament hosted by Richard Stockton University this past November. Extramural competition features intramural participants from campuses around the state representing each of their schools. 

The Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµâ€™s team consisted of Brown, junior Waynbe Bethea and freshmen Sheldon Clarke, Derrick Hooker, and Gabe Theosmy.
