Please see the <a href=\"https:\/\/travel.state.gov\/content\/travel\/en\/us-visas\/visa-information-resources\/photos\/photo-examples.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">guidelines and sample photos<\/a>.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: georgia, serif;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: georgia, serif;\">DO:<\/span><\/div>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, serif;\">Take your photo with a good quality camera. Most webcams and cell phones will not provide a useable image.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, serif;\">Choose a light-colored, plain background.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, serif;\">Look directly into the camera.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, serif;\">Take the photo in color without the use of filters or other image manipulation options other than red-eye reduction.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, serif;\">Smile naturally. Photos with unusual expressions will not be accepted.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, serif;\">Use appropriate lighting. Photos with shading on the face or shoulders will not be accepted.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: georgia, serif;\">DON\u2019T:<\/span><\/div>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, serif;\">Include any other people in your photo. It must be a clear, quality image of your head and shoulders only.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, serif;\">Crop candid photos. You should take a new photo specifically for One Card submission.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, serif;\">Wear a hat or head covering unless you wear it daily for religious purposes.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, serif;\">Wear sunglasses or other eyewear that you do not normally wear for vision correction purposes.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, serif;\">Send photos that do not represent your current appearance.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, serif;\">Scan photos or take pictures of printed photos.
