\"\"<\/a>Thank you to everyone who supported the second annual\u00a0Peacock\u00a0Nation\u00a0Day\u00a0on Sunday, February 27 – a day in which our student-athletes were celebrated by loyal and generous\u00a0Peacock\u00a0Nation\u00a0supporters.<\/p>\n

We are thrilled to announce that we received a total of $70,946 from 171 gifts\u00a0in support of Â鶹ÊÓƵ’s athletic programs-a new\u00a0Peacock\u00a0Nation\u00a0Day record that more than doubles the amount raised during last year’s inaugural campaign!\u00a0None of this could be done without\u00a0you.<\/p>\n

“On behalf of Â鶹ÊÓƵ’s University Athletics, I’d like to express a heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who contributed during Peacock Nation Day 2022,” added Director of Athletics Rachelle Paul. “We are so incredibly inspired by and appreciative of the participation, commitment, and generous support given to our student-athletes. The fact that we were able to more than double the amount raised from last year’s inaugural campaign is a testament to all of Peacock Nation and the unified goal of providing the best possible experience for our student-athletes.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

A special thank you to Tom Mac Mahon ’68, Sharon Pastore ’73 and Christie Shea ’00 for their generous match challenges! We are grateful that these three former\u00a0Peacock\u00a0student-athletes have remained committed to Â鶹ÊÓƵ’s Athletics. Their leadership and generosity helped inspire the greater\u00a0Peacock\u00a0Nation\u00a0to rise to the occasion for our student-athletes.<\/p>\n

Congratulations to the Â鶹ÊÓƵ’s\u00a0Peacocks\u00a0Baseball team as they won the Athletic Director’s Challenge! The Baseball team raised the highest total amount of $12,698 and will receive an additional bonus of $2,500!<\/p>\n
