\"\"<\/a>Jersey City, N.J. \u2013 September 13, 2021 \u2013<\/strong> Â鶹ÊÓƵ\u2019s is proud to announce that the University was recognized as the best value in the state of New Jersey and 7th<\/sup> in the Regional Universities North category in the 2022 U.S. News & World Report Best Colleges Rankings<\/em>. The institution also made a considerable climb in the category overall with a jump of 17 places to 58th<\/sup>. In addition, it was recognized for its excellence in social mobility, economic diversity, ethnic diversity, undergraduate teaching and undergraduate nursing programs.<\/p>\n

\u201cÂ鶹ÊÓƵ\u2019s is proud to continue to rise in the prestigious U.S. News & World Report Best Colleges Rankings<\/em> year after year,\u201d said Eugene J. Cornacchia, Ph.D., president of Â鶹ÊÓƵ\u2019s University. \u201cThis year we are honored to report some of the highest numbers in the University\u2019s history. The boost in rankings can be attributed to a number of factors including our increased graduation rates, student to faculty ratio, percentage of full-time faculty, reduced student debt and our improved expert opinion score, among other factors.\u201d<\/p>\n

In order to determine the best value rankings,\u00a0U.S. News & World Report<\/em>\u00a0considers factors such as the institution\u2019s academic quality and the net cost of attendance for a student who received the average level of need-based financial aid. Colleges and universities that were ranked highest on this list had the best quality programs at the lowest cost. For the overall rankings, U.S. News & World Report<\/em>\u00a0utilizes 17 measures of academic quality, including graduation and retention rates, social mobility, academic reputation, faculty resources, financial resources and alumni giving, among others.<\/p>\n

Â鶹ÊÓƵ\u2019s was ranked as 11th<\/sup> in social mobility and 6th<\/sup> in economic diversity in the Regional Universities North category. U.S. News & World Report <\/em>defines social mobility by a college\u2019s success in the upward socio-economic movement of students by enrolling and graduating students awarded federal grants. Economic diversity is measured based on the percentage of undergraduates receiving federal Pell Grants for low income students.<\/p>\n

The University was also recognized among the top 25 schools for undergraduate teaching in the Regional Universities North category. According to U.S. News & World Report <\/em>this award was based on peer-review and the schools on this list \u201creceived the most votes from top college administrators for putting a particular focus on undergraduate teaching.\u201d In addition, Â鶹ÊÓƵ\u2019s was recognized for its excellence in undergraduate nursing, which is a new category this year in light of growing interest in the field.<\/p>\n

\u201cAt Â鶹ÊÓƵ\u2019s University we are focused on providing our students with a fulfilling educational journey that produces positive outcomes after graduation,\u201d said Elizabeth Sullivan, vice president for enrollment management and marketing. \u201cWe are grateful that the U.S. News & World Report<\/em> rankings continue to reflect our efforts and we hope it will inspire more students to consider Â鶹ÊÓƵ\u2019s and the unique experience it offers.\u201d<\/p>\n

U.S. News & World Report<\/em>\u00a0defines a regional university as one that provides a full-range of undergraduate programs and master\u2019s programs, but few doctoral programs. The North Regional University category includes institutions of this nature in Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, Vermont and Washington D.C.<\/p>\n
