\"\"<\/a>Jersey City, N.J. \u2013 March 4, 2021 \u2013<\/strong> Â鶹ÊÓƵ\u2019s University is pleased to announce it is one of only 150 colleges and universities in the nation named to Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society\u2019s 2021 Transfer Honor Roll in recognition of its pathways to support transfer students. The Transfer Honor Roll recognizes four-year colleges and universities that have developed transfer pathways that lead to excellence and success among community college transfer students.<\/p>\n

Â鶹ÊÓƵ\u2019s has a transfer-friendly credit policy that is designed to help students bring in as many credits as possible towards their bachelor\u2019s degree. The University regularly offers Transfer Days<\/a>, which are now available virtually, in which students can meet one-on-one with an academic advisor associated with their intended program, receive a full credit evaluation, meet with a representative from the Office of Financial Aid, and even register for classes. Â鶹ÊÓƵ\u2019s also has academic articulations with a wide range of community colleges in New Jersey that simplify the transfer process.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf a student plans to continue their education after obtaining an associate\u2019s degree or they simply seek to make a change from another institution, Â鶹ÊÓƵ\u2019s strives to make the transition into the Peacock family as seamless as possible,\u201d said Elizabeth Sullivan, vice president for enrollment management and marketing at Â鶹ÊÓƵ\u2019s University. \u201cWe are honored to once again be recognized by Phi Theta Kappa\u2019s Transfer Honor Roll for the support we provide our transfer students.\u201d<\/p>\n

Colleges were selected for the Transfer Honor Roll based on their Transfer Friendliness Rating, which is determined by the Transfer Profile they create in PTK Connect<\/a>. PTK Connect is Phi Theta Kappa\u2019s online tool that helps students find their best-fit colleges, career pathways and more. Students can search for colleges by name, scholarship offerings, or cost, and they can use the institutions\u2019 profiles to help evaluate where they would like to enroll.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Transfer Honor Roll reflects the growing importance of recognizing and responding to the needs of transfer students,\u201d Phi Theta Kappa President and CEO Dr. Lynn Tincher-Ladner said. \u201cThis award is given to four-year colleges and universities with proven outcomes for transfer success. They are the best at providing a supportive and smooth transition from community college \u2014equating to increased rates of bachelor\u2019s degree attainment for transfer students.\u201d<\/p>\n
