\"\"<\/a>Jersey City, N.J. \u2013 September 14, 2020 \u2013<\/strong> Â鶹ÊÓƵ\u2019s University is proud to announce that it was ranked highest in the state of New Jersey and 11th<\/sup>\u00a0overall for best value in the 2021\u00a0U.S. News & World Report Best Colleges Rankings<\/em> in the Regional Universities North category. The University also remains among the top 100 \u201cBest Regional Universities in the North\u201d with a considerable climb of 11 places on the list.<\/p>\n

In order to determine the best value rankings,\u00a0U.S. News & World Report<\/em>\u00a0considers factors such as the institution\u2019s academic quality and the net cost of attendance for a student who received the average level of need-based financial aid. Colleges and universities that were ranked highest on this list had the best quality programs at the lowest cost.<\/p>\n

For the overall rankings, U.S. News & World Report<\/em>\u00a0utilizes 15 measures of academic quality, including graduation and retention rates, social mobility, academic reputation, faculty resources, financial resources and alumni giving, among others.<\/p>\n

\u201cImpressive developments are happening here at Â鶹ÊÓƵ\u2019s University and we take great pride in the fact that our efforts are being recognized in the prestigious U.S. News & World Report<\/em> rankings,\u201d said Eugene J. Cornacchia, Ph.D., president of Â鶹ÊÓƵ\u2019s. \u201cSeveral variables have contributed to our jump in rankings including increased graduation rates and an improved expert opinion score.\u201d<\/p>\n

Â鶹ÊÓƵ\u2019s University was also ranked as a leader in social mobility and economic diversity. U.S. News & World Report <\/em>defines social mobility by a college\u2019s success in the upward socio-economic movement of students by enrolling and graduating students awarded federal grants. Economic diversity is measured based on the percentage of undergraduates receiving federal Pell Grants for low income students.<\/p>\n

U.S. News & World Report<\/em>\u00a0defines a regional university as one that provides a full-range of undergraduate programs and master\u2019s programs, but few doctoral programs. The North Regional University category includes institutions of this nature in Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, Vermont and Washington D.C.<\/p>\n
