Additionally, returning full-time undergraduates will benefit from a one-time <em>Cura Personalis<\/em> Grant of up to $250 to be applied to unmet need in order to assist with degree completion. <em>Cura Personalis<\/em> is a Latin phrase, which means \u2018care for the whole person,\u2019 a hallmark of Jesuit education. These measures were established in response to the coronavirus, COVID-19 pandemic and the financial impact it is having on students and their families across the country.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cValue, affordability and college completion rates have always been major areas of focus for Â鶹ÊÓƵ\u2019s and we realize they have become more critical than ever,\u201d said Eugene J. Cornacchia, Ph.D., president of Â鶹ÊÓƵ\u2019s University. \u201cWe have decided to institute the tuition freeze and grants because we want to do everything in our power to ensure that our students can remain a part of the Peacock family.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Â鶹ÊÓƵ\u2019s University average net price, which is the cost to attend after financial aid is applied, is currently less than the cost to attend many public universities in New Jersey. The tuition freeze and grants will further reduce students\u2019 out-of-pocket costs.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe hear the concern from families about the challenges of making higher education affordable,\u201d said Elizabeth Sullivan, vice president for enrollment management and marketing at Â鶹ÊÓƵ\u2019s University.\u00a0 \u201cThese cost-saving measures, along with our already generous scholarships and grants, will provide a bridge for students to choose and continue to invest in a high-quality, personalized education, which is the foundation of Â鶹ÊÓƵ\u2019s University.
