Muldoon, Ph.D., theologian, award-winning author, director of mission education for Catholic Extension and professor at Boston College, visits Â鶹ÊÓƵ\u2019s University on <strong>Thursday, April 12<\/strong> in The Duncan Family Sky Room from <strong>6:30-8:30 p.m.<\/strong> The event will start with a meet and greet reception and conclude with a Q&amp;A and book signing. The master of ceremonies will be James D. Manney &#8217;67, author and former senior editor at Loyola Press.<\/p>\n<p>The lecture \u201cExtending the Jesuit Mission Today: Love, Mercy and the University\u201d focuses on two major interest points Dr. Muldoon has concentrated on over the last decade: the formation of young people in the Jesuit and Ignatian tradition and reaching out to communities on the margins of U.S. society. The talk grows out of a course Dr. Muldoon has taught for many years at Boston College, which invites all to reflect on what enables a person to live a good life in service to others. Dr. Muldoon will frame the discussion around stories based on missions, which will invite people to think about their most authentic desires for living in a good and just world.<\/p>\n<p>The John Tagliabue \u201967, H \u201905 Lecture Series\u00a0was established through a generous gift from\u00a0Paul Tagliabue H \u201905, former National Football League commissioner, in honor of his brother,\u00a0John Tagliabue, a 1967 graduate of Â鶹ÊÓƵ\u2019s and reporter with\u00a0<em>The New York Times<\/em>, with the purpose of featuring authors, journalists and writers of interest who are concerned with preserving and renewing the University\u2019s Catholic and Jesuit mission and identity.<\/p>\n<p>The event is complimentary; however, a gift to the Office of Campus Ministry would be appreciated.
