Jersey City, N.J. \u2013 October 13, 2015 \u2013<\/strong> Dan Harris, co-anchor of Nightline<\/em> and the weekend edition of Good Morning America<\/em>, will moderate an in-depth exploration of motivation and the modern workforce at the Â鶹ÊÓƵ\u2019s University 44th<\/sup> Annual Regents Business Symposium on Friday, November 6 from 8:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Mac Mahon Student Center. The Symposium will feature Chester Elton, employee engagement expert, leadership consultant and bestselling author, as the keynote speaker. Elton will discuss this year\u2019s theme, Beyond the Gold Watch: Motivating the Modern Workforce<\/em>.<\/p>\n

The Symposium is one of New Jersey\u2019s longest-running forums designed to inspire and educate an audience of all ages, professions and industries regarding business trends, challenges and best practices. This year an esteemed group of industry leaders will examine how the days of receiving a gold watch from an employer after 25 or more years of service are over and how it is becoming increasingly challenging for employers to engage and motivate employees in today\u2019s business world. Attendees of the event will learn how the corporate landscape has changed and what the future holds; ways to achieve long-term career satisfaction; how managers and business owners can drive high performance through engaged talent; successful retention and engagement strategies; and how young workers can grow, lead and seek new opportunities within their respective organizations.<\/p>\n

In addition to a keynote presentation, the event will feature a panel of experts including Elizabeth Walker, vice president, global talent management for Campbell Soup Company; Dan Schawbel, managing partner of Millennial Branding; and Jennifer Schramm, manager of workplace trends and forecasting at the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).<\/p>\n

Harris has been with ABC for 14 years, receiving Murrow and Emmy awards for his reporting. He regularly contributes stories for shows such as 20\/20<\/em>, World News Tonight with David Muir<\/em> and the weekday edition of Good Morning America<\/em>. Previously, Harris was the anchor of the Sunday edition of World News<\/em>. He has reported from all over the world, covering wars in Afghanistan, Israel\/Palestine and Iraq and producing investigative reports in Haiti, Cambodia and the Congo. Harris is also the author of the No. 1 New York Times bestseller \u201c10% Happier.\u201d<\/p>\n

Walker has more than 20 years of experience in the consumer product goods, financial services and consulting industries, working in the areas of talent and performance management, executive assessment, leadership development and succession. As head of global talent management for Campbell Soup Company, she leads executive selection, talent acquisition, leadership development, learning, succession management and performance management. She oversees the strategy for building and measuring high performance and engagement for more than 13,000 employees globally.<\/p>\n

As the world\u2019s foremost expert on millennials, Schawbel helps corporations not only to adapt to today\u2019s changing workforce, but to prosper in this evolving landscape \u2014from recruiting the top young workers of today to providing the personal brand experiences that this market requires.
