The list \u2013 mandated by Congress \u2013 focuses on the highest and lowest tuition and net pricing based on data collected during the 2011-2012 academic year.<\/p>\n<p>The University garnered the distinction of being one of the most affordable private colleges in the state based on tuition, fees and average net price \u2013 the cost of attendance after considering all grant and scholarship aid\u2014charged to students. With a net cost of $16,614, Â鶹ÊÓƵ\u2019s placed higher in affordability than such private institutions as Felician College and Stevens Institute of Technology. Interestingly, the University\u2019s net price was even lower than many public institutions, such as The College of New Jersey, which came in at a net price of $19,576.<\/p>\n<p>The U.S. Department of Education&#8217;s College Affordability and Transparency List was introduced in 2011 by the Department of Education, a requirement set by the Higher Education Opportunity Act of 2008.
