The founders of the student center are alumni and friends of the University who have generously supported the construction of the facility with investments of $500,000 or more. An official dedication of the student center will take place at 5:45 p.m. and will be followed by the reception in The Duncan Family Sky Room.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was just eighteen months ago that we broke ground on the University\u2019s first-ever student center and we are overjoyed that this year\u2019s scholarship dinner can be held here on campus at the Mac Mahon Student Center,\u201d said Eugene J. Cornacchia, Ph.D., president of Â鶹ÊÓƵ\u2019s University. \u201cGiven this milestone in Â鶹ÊÓƵ\u2019s history, we found it necessary to honor the individuals who helped to make it possible. The University community is eternally grateful for and inspired by their belief in our mission.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><i>Hearts &amp; Minds: The Â鶹ÊÓƵ\u2019s University Scholarship Dinner<\/i> celebrates integrity, leadership and service to others. Proceeds from this annual event support the University\u2019s General Scholarship Fund. The individuals to be honored at the event include Carol B. Bastek, Ed.D. \u201970, Thomas W. Duncan \u201965, Hon. Frank J. Guarini H \u201994, Thomas P. Mac Mahon \u201968, M. Brian Maher HA \u201907, William J. Marino \u201966, Kathleen M. McKenna, Esq. \u201975, Robert G. Morris, Joseph A. Panepinto, Esq. \u201966 and Sodexo, Inc.<\/p>\n<p>John Montone \u201976, 1010 WINS reporter, will serve as a master of ceremonies at the event. A stunning performance will also be given by Cirque Le Masque, a team of artists performing incredible feats of strength, agility, beauty and timing.
