Jersey City, N.J.<\/strong> – On Sunday, November 21, Â鶹ÊÓƵ’s College will host MarbleJam Kids Inc., a nonprofit charity dedicated to bringing creative arts enrichment to individuals with autism, in conjunction with the Joey Travolta Short Film Camp, for “Friday Night After the Movies,” a celebratory charitable event, in the Roy Irving Theatre on the Jersey City campus of Â鶹ÊÓƵ’s College. <\/p>\n

This past August, Joey Travolta, an actor, producer, director, writer and teacher, provided 50 campers, ages 9 to 23, with the opportunity to learn the art of filmmaking alongside his professional crew. Participants created a 30 minute short film and public service announcement for the State of New Jersey and elsewhere about autism awareness. The highly acclaimed inclusion film camp was produced by MarbleJam Kids, Inc. and was hosted by Â鶹ÊÓƵ’s College at its Englewood Cliffs campus. <\/p>\n

“Friday Night After the Movies” will feature a red carpet event, beginning at 1:15 p.m., where campers will be available to answer questions about their experiences creating the mini films. Eugene J. Cornacchia, Ph.D., president of Â鶹ÊÓƵ’s College, will welcome guests to the campus prior to a screening at 2:00 p.m. of three of the short films, including Spy on Who<\/em>, Don’t Get Me Started<\/em> and Quest for the Golden Taco<\/em>. The afternoon will conclude with a commemorative reception on campus in McIntyre Lounge. Proceeds from ticket sales will raise funds to supplement the cost of future Joey Travolta Short Film Camps at a reduced rate for all campers. <\/p>\n
