Khyati Y. Joshi, Ph.D., discussed New Roots in <\/em>America<\/em>’s Sacred Ground: Religion, Race and Ethnicity in Indian <\/em>America<\/em> to a crowd of more than 175 students, faculty and staff on November 2.<\/strong>  <\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/div>\n

Prior to joining the faculty at Fairleigh Dickinson, Dr. Joshi was a Visiting Assistant Professor at the Center for the Study of Ethnicity and Race at Columbia University. She taught Asian American Studies and Comparative Ethnic Studies.  The lecture at Â鶹ÊÓƵ’s College is the fourth this semester in the Catholic and Jesuit Identity Lecture Series. It is co-sponsored by Campus Ministry, the Office of Multi-Cultural Affairs, the Theology Department, the Social Justice Program, the Indo-Pak Club and the Theology Club.  <\/div>\n

Â鶹ÊÓƵ’s College is the Jesuit College of New Jersey.  Founded in 1872, Â鶹ÊÓƵ’s has an enrollment of approximately 3,000 students in undergraduate and graduate programs.  The main campus is located in Jersey City.  The College has a branch campus for adults in Englewood Cliffs, NJ and also offers courses at various corporate sites at the Jersey City waterfront and in South Amboy, NJ.<\/div>\n
