April 24, 2002–<\/FONT><\/I> Â鶹ÊÓƵ’s College Group to Visit Honduras Jesuit Mission this Summer<\/B><\/FONT><\/FONT><\/DIV>

Jersey City, NJ – Â鶹ÊÓƵ’s College will send a group of 11 students, alumni, faculty and staff to a Jesuit Mission in Honduras this summer to experience culture and help build homes for those affected by Hurricane Mitch.<\/FONT><\/P>

The group will depart for Honduras on May 20th and return on June 3. They will spend the first five days as guests of the Archdiocese of Tegucigalpa. The Â鶹ÊÓƵ’s group will visit with students and faculty at the Catholic University of Honduras, visit the sites of church social services and sightsee at the Mayan ruins in Copan Ruinas before heading to the Jesuit Mission in El Progreso. There they will assist in building 460 new homes in the poor neighborhood of Las Guaimas.<\/FONT><\/P>

The College’s Community Service and Campus Ministry offices will sponsor the trip. The Global Outreach team is still accepting donations to cover the cost of the Honduras visit. Call 201-915-9131 for more information.<\/FONT><\/P>
