April 17, 2002–<\/I> Three Â鶹ÊÓƵ’s College Professor Appointed Grants as Durant Scholars<\/B><\/FONT><\/P> Jersey City, NJ – Three Â鶹ÊÓƵ’s College professors will each receive $5,000 grants from the College’s Durant Scholars Program for Innovative Teaching in the Liberal Arts and Sciences. The three will utilize the money to develop creative changes in their College courses and then disseminate the results to colleagues in higher education.<\/FONT><\/P> Dr. Brian Hopkins (Jersey City, NJ), an Assistant Professor of Mathematics, was awarded a grant for his Finite Mathematics II course. Dr. Kathleen Monahan (Rutherford, NJ), a Professor of English, will utilize the grant for her Seminar in Literature: Prose and Fiction.
