February 24, 2003– Jersey City, NJ– Â鶹ÊÓƵ\u2019s College will hold its first Jesuit Undergraduate Colloquium in Philosophy on Saturday, April 5 in the Pope Lecture Hall. Fordham University Professor of Philosphy Dr. James Marsh is the featured speaker. The event is sponsored by the Â鶹ÊÓƵ\u2019s College Philosophy Department, headed by student organizers Jeffrey Englehardt (Jersey City, NJ) and Charles Lassiter (Alexandria, VA). \u201c The department wants to bring recognition to the great talent it has here at Saint. Peter’s and wants to provide an opportunity for Saint. Peter’s philosophy majors to submit work and present it without having to travel to another school,\u201d Lassiter said. \u201cWe also hope students from the other area Jesuit schools participate.\u201d The Colloquium is open to students from the nation\u2019s 28 Jesuit colleges and universities.
