\"\"<\/a>Jersey City, N.J. \u2013 September 18, 2023 \u2013<\/strong> Â鶹ÊÓƵ\u2019s University has continued its impressive climb in the annual U.S. News and World Report<\/em> rankings of colleges and universities by joining the top 50 universities in the Regional North category. The University is now ranked 45th<\/sup> following an increase of 13 places since last year. This ranking is the highest the University has ever placed with U.S. News & World Report<\/em>. Â鶹ÊÓƵ\u2019s is also ranked 3rd<\/sup> on the \u201cBest Value Schools\u201d list \u2013 top ranked among New Jersey institutions – and 6th<\/sup> for social mobility in the Regional North category. Additionally, the University garnered an accolade for \u201cBest College for Veterans.\u201d<\/p>\n

Â鶹ÊÓƵ\u2019s significant improvements in the rankings can be attributed to a number of factors, but most notably are the changes to the ranking system for 2024. According to U.S. News & World Report<\/em>, this year\u2019s rankings place \u201ca greater emphasis on social mobility and outcomes for graduating college students.\u201d The methodology also places an \u201cincreased weighting on a schools\u2019 success in graduating students from different backgrounds.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cU.S. News & World Report Best Colleges Rankings <\/em>have been and continue to be an essential resource for students and families in the college decision-making process,\u201d said Eugene J. Cornacchia, Ph.D., president of Â鶹ÊÓƵ\u2019s University. \u201cAt Â鶹ÊÓƵ\u2019s, we believe the changes to this year\u2019s rankings reveal a more accurate depiction of what colleges and universities have to offer. Â鶹ÊÓƵ\u2019s ranking gains are a reflection of the University\u2019s dedication to student success, particularly in areas that matter to our students.\u201d<\/p>\n

In order to determine the best value rankings, U.S. News & World Report<\/em> considers factors such as the institution\u2019s academic quality and the net cost of attendance for a student who received the average level of need-based financial aid. Colleges and universities that were ranked highest on this list had the best quality programs at the lowest cost.<\/p>\n

Â鶹ÊÓƵ\u2019s was ranked highest in the state of New Jersey in social mobility. U.S. News & World Report <\/em>defines social mobility by a college\u2019s success in the upward socio-economic movement of students by enrolling and graduating students awarded federal grants.<\/p>\n

U.S. News & World Report<\/em> defines a regional university as one that provides a full-range of undergraduate programs and master\u2019s programs, but few doctoral programs. The North Regional University category includes institutions of this nature in Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, Vermont and Washington D.C.<\/p>\n
