Â鶹ÊÓƵ\u2019s University today announced a new partnership with ReUp Education, a leading tech-enabled provider empowering adult learners. This new partnership expands on both Â鶹ÊÓƵ\u2019s and ReUp\u2019s commitments to help adult learners enroll and graduate as part of their journey to pursue economic and social mobility. Through this collaboration, ReUp will bring a unique combination of technology, data and personalized one-on-one coaching to Â鶹ÊÓƵ\u2019s students.<\/p>\n

According to data released in 2020 by the\u00a0<\/span>National Center for Education Statistics (NCES)<\/a>, 35 percent of learners are over the age of 25. However, adult learners still have lower completion rates than their younger peers, often due to a wide range of barriers that include time poverty, childcare, financial constraints, and more. Completing a college degree has profound impacts on social and economic mobility. Those with a\u00a0<\/span>degree<\/a>\u00a0<\/span>are half as likely to be unemployed as those with a high school diploma and demonstrate significantly higher levels of happiness, health and community involvement.<\/p>\n

\u201cÂ鶹ÊÓƵ\u2019s is committed to providing all of our students with the resources and guidance to graduate on time with marketable skills and low student debt,\u201d said Frederick Bonato, Ph.D., executive vice president and provost at Â鶹ÊÓƵ\u2019s University. \u201cWe look forward to this partnership with ReUp, which will provide increased support for the unique challenges faced by our adult learner population.\u201d<\/p>\n

Since 2015, ReUp has been helping higher-ed institutions engage, enroll and support adult learners. Leveraging patented technology and one-on-one personalized coaching services, ReUp\u2019s approach will help the University reach\u00a0learners who have previously put a pause on their education. It will also provide Â鶹ÊÓƵ\u2019s students with specialized, holistic support from ReUp that takes into consideration the key factors that impact a learner\u2019s decision to re-enroll and their unique journey towards earning their degree.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs a former adult learner, I know only too well the challenges that face other adult learners as they pursue a degree. Time, money and a support system are all crucial elements of a learner\u2019s journey through higher ed, yet for too many of these degree-seekers, these factors are massive barriers to completion,\u201d said Terah Crews, CEO of ReUp. \u201cWith our new partnership with Â鶹ÊÓƵ\u2019s University, we are helping expand the support and resources available for adult learners.\u201d<\/p>\n
