On November 16, some Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ’s students spent the afternoon at the United Nations Headquarters in Manhattan for ‘International Education Day at the UN’. This event, featuring a variety of influential speakers, celebrated the role that international education plays in creating a more peaceful, just, and equitable world. This rare opportunity to attend a symposium at the UN was promoted on campus by the Center for Global Learning.

Diwali Celebration /global-learning/2018/11/14/diwali-celebration/ Wed, 14 Nov 2018 21:06:17 +0000 /global-learning/?p=719 150 Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ’s students, faculty, and staff celebrated Diwali, the Hindu festival of light, in the Duncan Family Sky Room on Tuesday evening, November 6th with lively Bhangra dancing, a delicious Indian meal, and fireworks. Diwali is one of the most popular festivals in India and symbolizes the victory of light over darkness and good over evil. This celebration was organized by the Desi Club and co-sponsored by the ASU and the Theology Club.

Thirty exhibitors were on hand to promote programs that will help students develop the global mindsets and skill sets that are essential to succeed in our interconnected global economy.

The Fair’s raffle prizes were won by two students from the Class of 2021:
Lyliana Santos won the Apple AirPods and Dashawn Evans won the $200 flight voucher.
