Objectives of the Master\u2019s Program<\/h3>\n

The Master\u2019s program in I\/O psychology will provide students with an advanced education in Industrial Organizational psychology. The program will assist students with a variety of career goals and help our students meet the demands of one of the fastest growing job markets. For students who intend to continue their graduate study, the program’s objectives are as follows:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Students will learn core psychological competencies in the history of I\/O psychology and its integration into the broader discipline<\/li>\n
  2. Students will learn core psychological competencies in the subspecialties of I\/O psychology including: personnel selection, group dynamics, ethical application, job analysis, motivation, and cross cultural issues.<\/li>\n
  3. Develop analytical and critical thinking skills that will allow them to apply their knowledge to solve organizational problems in a variety of settings.<\/li>\n
  4. Develop research method and statistical skills that will allow them to apply their knowledge to solve organizational problems in a variety of settings.<\/li>\n
  5. Enhance students\u2019 abilities to pursue a higher graduate degree or gain employment upon graduation<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
